This necklace was handmade with abalone shell from Southern California, 999 fine silver and 925 sterling silver.
This abalone pendant reminds me of the end of a mermaid tail. The ridges on the end mean it was the edge of the abalone shell. The iridescent color also reminds me of a shell shining in tide pools.
This abalone pendant has a wide bail and is hung on a hand formed choker chain.
*The bail on this pendant is a little more narrow so it does not slide back and forth as much which some people may like more or less so I just wanted to note that.
